Lovely place. Despite far from Manila, once here it worth the time. We will be here for 1 week. Place is super relaxing and quiet. They have their own garden, with lot of plants and trees, even a basketball court. Rooms are big and air-conditioned. If you want a relaxing place this may be perfect for you as well. Kitchen offers delicious foods, and prices are not that big. Internet works good. Beach seems really private as less resorts, so you'll have lot of space for yourself. Love the old style of furniture and buildings, feels like back in the free time when people use to be more happy. I would gladly came back for more, and stay here. No need to get any cozy super expensive membership in some places to enjoy private beach. Fishing can be done at the sea and according to the locals they catch bug size fish close to the beach. They also offer billiard table and ping- pong.

For a resort located in Zambales, it's quite far coming from Manila. More or less, you'll spend around 5-6 hours driving. There are a lot of things to see upon entering the premises, like a bridge walkway, a nearby river and lots of plants and animals. It's definitely "Instagrammable", especially if you like to post a lot in social media. Rooms are divided into separate cabins, depending on how many you are as a group. The rooms have an old-school house vibe, but are clean and cozy. Unfortunately, we were booked in rooms that had very limited wifi and signal. We had to go to the main dining area to make use of the wifi. The food in the resort was under-the-radar good. Nothing stood out but everything we ordered was consistently well-cooked. The beachside area was okay, though you take a boat ride going to the more beautiful Potipot island. There are other things to do in the resort like a swimming pool, pool table and karaoke, as well as musical acts depending on the day. Overall, the resort is perfect if 1.) you're a group of friends who don't like crowded resorts, 2.) you're a family with small kids or 3.) an office department planning a team building since the resort is quite spacious for physical activities and fellowship activities.

We went to Potipot Gateway Resort with low expectations after reading the reviews. I even informed my family and companions to manage their expectations as well. But to our surprise, The place is perfect for our family's taste. It actually went beyond our expectations cause my son felt disappointed he can't do all the activities because of time constraint. He likes the Pool with slide, the playground, and billiards. He's quite picky with places we go to but he didn't complain about anything at all during the stay only that we have to depart early to catch up on some work. The pool is well maintained, the beachfront is clean, the beach is peaceful and safe for my toddler to swim around with his inflatable. The Food in the Restaurant is really good. We stayed in DKB1&2. We loved the mismatched furnitures 😀 and the spacious balcony. We feel comfortable to just lay back and have a relaxing and recharging quick getaway. Though it was a long 4 hour drive but believe me, the destination is so worth it. We even met the resort owners and they are very friendly and accomodating. Looking forward to our next visit bringing with us other friends and family to experience the hidden gem of paradise in Zambales.

Employees were helpful but resort was understaffed. No room service, no phone in rooms, premises were not that clean. Resort was old, pool was dirty. Nothing much to do and see. You don't get your money's worth.

Exceed my expectation, actually the best place to loosen up. Been through a lot of resort that cost a lot but this resort offers the luxury feeling at very affordable price. The staffs are very accommodating, kind, and will greet you with a smile surely they have been trained well by the owner. The family of the owner even serve us, they surely been raised well by there parents. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, beds and pillows are large and smell good surely it just came from laundry. design and decorations of the resort is beautiful feels like

Stayed with 4 adults, 2 kids, and 1 dog. Stayed at Stonehouse Villa. Pros: -Staff accommodating; fridge wasn’t working, they lent us one; asked for 4 towels because the room didn’t come with one -Rooms had strong aircons (old but works fine) -Villa was next to the pool and walking distance to the beach -Food at their in house resto was good; free breakfast; did not charge corkage Cons: -Beach had brown/black fine sand: murky water -No beach activities offered other than island hopping to isla de potipot but you can’t step on the island -Each room had a closet that are so old and dusty you wouldn't dare put clothes inside, and a non-working blow dryer -The bathroom had no toiletries. In bathroom 1, it had a leaking faucet and no water pressure when using the water heater. Had to request for staff to fix the faucet (took them 2hrs). In my mind, shouldn’t this be checked before check-in? Bathroom 2 was dusty, moldy and stained, water pressure of the shower was fine but the toilet doesn’t flush all the way/properly. -Room furniture are mismatched, dusty, dirty, all corners had dirt as if it was not mopped or used for months. The bed linens are so thin. -The kitchen had no inclusions and there was a rat that our dog chased under the sink. Horror. -Price of food advertised vs actual is completely different. Actual is 2-3x more expensive than what’s published in their website. -The resort can accommodate guests for daytrip. At the time we stayed, there were 50 guests on top of fully booked villas. Imagine drunk men by the beach smoking cigarettes. -By the beach, there are locals who sell mangoes, seafood, etc and kids who constantly beg for money. There are also stray dogs and cats they allow inside the resort who sit next to you while you eat. We brought home our puppy with ticks :( -Mosquitoes - everywhere. Good thing we brought repellants, etc but still ended up with bites. All in all, I will not go back unless rooms are completely renovated. The beach was so-so as well so the 6hr drive from Manila was not worth all that hassle.
